Ushuaïa and Histoire to partner the HOKUSAI exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris

Ushuaïa and Histoire have teamed up as the media partners of the long-awaited Hokusai exhibition, which will take place in Paris’ Grand Palais from 1 October 2014 to 31 January 2015 (closed from 21 to 30 November 2014).

Today, Hokusai is the most famous Japanese artist in the world. His paintings, drawings and engravings embody the spirituality and the soul of his home country, and in particular his landscape prints, which are a remarkable combination of the traditional principles of Japanese art and Western influences.

The exhibition, divided into two parts, features 500 outstanding works of art, many of which will never leave Japan again after the Hokusai museum opens in Tokyo in 2016.

The exhibition is being organised by the “Réunion des musées nationaux – Grand Palais”.
