TF1 GROUP SIGNS A LONG-TERM AGREEMENT FOR THE BROADCAST
OF IHF WORLD HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS    
FOR MEN AND WOMEN

 

TF1 Group is pleased to announce a long-term agreement with Lagardère Sports, the sports marketing agency appointed by the International Handball Federation (IHF), for the free-to-air broadcast in France of the 4 next editions of the IHF Men World Handball Championship and the 4 next editions of the IHF Women World Handball Championship between 2019 and 2025.

TF1 Group will broadcast exclusively each competition’s final on free-to-air television in case of French Team participation.

TF1 Group has already broadcast on free-to-air the finals of the IHF Men World Championships won by the French Team in 2015 and 2017, which attracted 9.1 and 8.7 million viewers respectively, as well as the IHF Women World Championship 2017 final seeing the French team crowned at home in front of 4.3 Million viewers.

The first competition covered by this agreement will be the IHF Men World Championship 2019 taking place in Denmark and Germany from January 10th to 27th, 2019.
