Valérie, Junior trade* product manger (TF1 Licences)

Master 2 in Strategic Marketing at INSEEC

TF1 Licences has a portfolio of around 60 brands (including Hello Kitty, The Voice, Barbapapa and Miss France) and sells the rights to use these brands to manufacturers and advertisers. As junior trade product manager, I set up in-store marketing operations to increase sales and organise special events and installations, such as staging a sales outlet and competitions.

I communicate with B2B customers and create newsletters to inform people about new products. I meet with buyers to check that the products of our licences are listed by stores. I also do market surveys to identify potential new markets for TF1 Licences.

Effective settling-in process

My work-study rhythm – 12 days at the company, 3 days at school – is interesting for the company and helped me to become autonomous quickly. As soon as I arrived, I met with people in all the business lines of TF1 Licences to get a firmer grasp on what each one does and how the structure as a whole works. Thanks to this settling-in process, I immediately found my bearings and was soon operational. In the future, I would like to pursue a career in the licences and entertainment fields.
