Sonia, Purchasing and logistics assistant at the Logistics and Production department (TF1 Games)

European Master 2 in Business Management and Strategy at Plus Values

I arrived at TF1 Games, TF1’s board game development and production subsidiary, in September 2013 as part of my Master 2 degree. I am carrying out my degree on a work-study basis as a purchasing and logistics assistant.

My responsibilities are very instructive and varied. I help organise the routing of products from production through to distribution. Working with my manager, I schedule product deliveries with the production team, organise supply with suppliers, manage deliveries and deadlines with transport companies, and coordinate goods flows with the warehouse.

We work with the head of sales, on coordinating purchasing performance and scheduling supply. I also have a monitoring assignment, making sure invoices are paid and inventory is managed so as to avoid out-of-stocks.

Work-study: a good way to learn professional skills

I’m from Italy, and I found out about work-study programmes when I arrived in France a little over a year ago. The programme is a good way to learn professional skills. The course is comprehensive and wide-ranging, giving me a global view of the company. My job position is really interesting. Every day I learn about new aspects of logistics and gain new skills. As well as working in one of my favourite fields, I’m also part of a friendly and unified team that gave me a warm reception right from the start. My experience at TF1 has brought me a lot and confirmed what I want to do in the future, namely manage and coordinate all the links in the supply chain.
