Jordi, IT security assistant at DCSI (Technology and IT Department)

Master 1 in IT Security at Ecole Supérieur de Génie Informatique (ESGI)

I’m fortunate enough to be working as an IT security assistant at the DCSI (Central Information Systems department) , after applying for the position in the Group website. I work on a number of projects and assignments as part of my Master 1 degree in IT Security, which I am completing on a work-study basis at ESGI.

All the tasks entrusted to me are based essentially on security.  I regularly update the workstations and make them more secure against flaws and viruses. I help my team to control access to the network, by filtering devices that can connect with the TF1 network (computers, tablets and telephones). We also handle the password policy.

I work on audits of the vulnerability of Group websites that host customer databases (personal data, bank information, etc.), carry out a security watch aimed at continuously improving TF1’s information system, and contribute to the drafting of processes and procedures.

Responsibilities that encourage me to take initiatives

In the five years of my work-study programme, this is the first time that I have worked at a group like TF1. The experience has enabled me to take part in fascinating projects with a significant human and financial dimension. I have discovered a new way of working, “project mode”, which I appreciate and which gives me a certain freedom of action. My manager lets me work independently and gives me responsibilities that encourage me to take initiatives. Thanks to TF1, I will be able to continue my career having acquired sound bases and unique expertise.
