TF1 trading background
July 24, 1987: TF1 is privatised and traded on the stock market at a price of FF165 (equivalent €2.50 today. after a 10 for 1 share split in June 2000). CNCL (Commission Nationale de la Communication et des Libertés) chooses Bouygues to be the operator of the channel ; it becomes one of the core shareholders. representing 50% of the capital.
May 10, 2000: the TF1 share enters the CAC 40 index.
June 21, 2000: the nominal value of the share is divided by 10 (to € 0.20 per share)
December 19, 2005: the TF1 share is replaced by EDF in the CAC 40 index and enters the CAC Next 20 index.
