Football World Cups 2010 and 2014 : exclusively on TF1

FOOTBALL WORLD CUPS 2010 AND 2014: 
EXCLUSIVELY ON TF1

As part of the FIFA tender offer, TF1 obtained for France the free-to-air and pay TV exclusive rights for the broadcast of the football World Cups 2010 and 2014, as well as several competitions from FIFA that will take place between 2007 and 2014.

This agreement includes the possibility to resell licences to TF1 Group channels and, with the agreement of the FIFA, to others channels.

The price of those rights amounts respectively to €120 M for the World Cup 2010 and €130 M for 2014. This agreement includes: 
- the exclusive rights for terrestrial broadcasting, cable and satellite, free-to-air, pay TV, live and delayed; 
- the possibility to create and broadcast highlights of the matches; 
- the possibility to broadcast matches and events simultaneously, live or delayed, on mobile phones and on the Internet; 
- the right to market matches and events in closed-circuit and on “big screens”.
