TF1 GROUP IS PARTNERING VIVA TECHNOLOGY

From 24 to 26 May, the TF1 group will once again be at the heart of the go-to event in the innovation ecosystem calendar: Viva Technology. Three weeks before the planet’s greatest sporting event kicks off, TF1 MediaLab – representing the media sector – will be appearing at Viva Technology on a stand totally decked out in 2018 FIFA World CupTM colours. Visitors will be able to sample exclusive immersive experiences, in particular the “MYTF1 VR FIFA World CupTM” virtual reality app.

An immersive experience that takes users into the heart of the stadium to watch the 28 best matches from a virtual VIP box:
- 3 different 180° views of the pitch, augmented with real-time stats.
- Instant highlights replay from all angles.
- Access to exclusive 360° content.
“HOLO FOOT” IN PARTNERSHIP WITH IMMERSIV.IO
A football match in augmented reality mode: that’s what TF1 will be offering at Viva Tech with “Holo Foot”, in partnership with the start-up Immersiv.io. This glimpse of the potential for augmented reality (which combines real-life and virtual scenarios) harnesses gesture control technology enabling visitors to interact with hologram displays including stats, stadium views, and 3D player avatars.
TÉLÉFOOT, LCI and MYTF1 VOICE ASSISTANT
The TF1 Innovation teams will be using Viva Tech to unveil two new voice assistants:
- The Téléfoot football quiz: think you know everything about the history of the French team and the World Cup? Now prove it, with the Téléfoot quiz on Google Home.
- LCI news: follow the latest news in France and around the globe, at any time of day. Activate the LCI flash briefing and ask your Amazon voice assistant “Alexa, what’s the news?” to hear a summary of the latest headlines.
AUGMENTED REALITY FORMULA 1 IN PARTNERSHIP WITH IMMERSIV.IO
On the eve of the Monaco Grand Prix – broadcast on TF1 on Sunday 27 May – Viva Tech visitors can enjoy an augmented reality experience tracking the drivers’ moves, race positions and lap times.
WAKATOON ANIMATION WITH TF1 LICENCES
Wakatoon, which specialises in animated colour drawings, is in an ongoing collaboration with the teams from TF1 Licences. Boosted by support from the TF1 incubator program, Wakatoon will be on our stand, offering animation options for kids based on the “Miraculous” franchise.
AROUND THIRTY START-UPS HELPING US MEET OUR BUSINESS CHALLENGES
Viva Tech will be another opportunity to showcase the fruitful collaborations with the start-up ecosystem that we began in 2015. Around thirty start-ups – some developed directly out of our acceleration program at the Station F campus – will be on our MediaLab stand for the three days of the event.

For more than two years now, the TF1 group has been stepping up its digital strategy by incubating start-ups, to encourage the discovery of innovative solutions and address new markets. The Group’s innovation initiatives have now been combined under a single banner: TF1 MediaLab. Since 2015, the Group has supported 14 young entrepreneurs through an incubation program. In June 2016, TF1 launched the “One Innovation” investment fund. And since January 2018, TF1 has represented the media industry at the Station F campus, where the Group offers an acceleration program that’s currently supporting four start-ups.
