Gilles Pélisson is a graduate of ESSEC and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He began his career in 1983 with the Accor group, first in the United States and then in the Asia-Pacific region. At Accor, he served as CEO of the Courtepaille restaurant chain and co-Chairman of the Novotel hotel chain. He was appointed CEO of Euro Disney in 1995 and Chairman and CEO in 1997. He moved to the Suez group in 2000 and then to Bouygues Telecom in June 2001, where he served as CEO, and then Chairman and CEO from February 2004. He was appointed CEO of Accor in January 2006, then Chairman and CEO until January 2011. From 2011 to 2015 he was an independent Director of Barrière (hotels and casinos in France), NH Hoteles (Spain), Sun Resorts International (Mauritius), Accenture (USA) and TF1, and Senior Advisor to the Jefferies investment bank (New York). He has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TF1 since 19 February 2016.
