A Sustainable Development Barometer for TF1 news shows

Environmental alerts are now being followed up by solutions, including eco-habitats, sustainable consumption, and the circular and collaborative economies.

In France and around the world, local players, companies and governments are launching socially-responsible projects that consume fewer raw materials and less energy.

One year ahead of the Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP21), to be held in Paris in December 2015, we wanted to assess the extent to which TF1 news shows inform the public about sustainable development issues and evaluate the changes afoot in our society. And so we developed our Sustainable Development Barometer.

Every month we will be reviewing the topics of the stories broadcast in TF1 news programmes in line with a list of keywords selected by experts from the Nicolas Hulot Foundation and News Department researchers. And every month we will publish the results and highlight a particularly inspiring subject.
