THE FOUR WINNERS OF THE 5TH ANNUAL
"GRAND PRIX PATRICK BOURRAT" AWARDS

Today sees the climax of the 5th annual Grand Prix Patrick Bourrat awards, launched by TF1 and LCI on 15 May.
Open to students from the 14 journalism schools accredited by the profession, the competition rewards four prizewinners after ten days of tests designed to identify the best candidates: commentating on images, live reporting, on-the-spot reporting, etc.

So today, here are the winners who have carried off the prize: fixed-term contracts of 6 months with TF1 and 12 months with LCI. The proud winners are:

TF1:

News editor: William Rouze (CELSA)
News reporter: Clémence Bragard (ESJ Lille)

LCI:

News editor: Laura Cambaud (IPJ)
News reporter: Gabriel Moret (EJT)

Catherine Nayl, Executive Vice President, News at TF1 group: “This prize carries the name of Patrick Bourrat, a journalist who always put the concept of communication – of news, eye-witness accounts and his own experiences – above all else. And it is those values that our prize seeks to spread once again this year.”

Antoine Guélaud, Editor in Chief at TF1: Patrick Bourrat liked to say that journalists are the “teachers of current affairs”. The young winners of the 2017 Grand Prix obviously already have a talent for explaining facts, putting them into perspective and helping to inform the wider public. A warm welcome to them from the TF1 group editorial teams!”

Eric Monier, Editor in Chief at LCI:An editorial team needs to revitalise itself regularly by hiring young journalists. The Grand Prix Patrick Bourrat offers its winners a unique experience, but it also represents a fantastic opportunity for our editorial team to work with young journalists and promising reporters.”
