GREGOIRE MARGOTTON JOINS THE TF1 GROUP

1ST MATCH, WITH BIXENTE LIZARAZU, ON TF1:
FRANCE vs. CAMEROON, MONDAY MAY 30 AT 8.50 pm

The TF1 group is delighted to officially confirm that Grégoire Margotton, the sports journalist and commentator on high-profile international events such as the Football World Cup and the Olympic Games, is to join the Group. His knowledge of football and insights on the game will make a significant contribution to the TF1 sports team.

 
From May 30, Grégoire Margotton will provide commentary, alongside Bixente Lizarazu, on the French team’s final warm-up matches, and then on the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament that kicks off on TF1 on June 10.
Grégoire Margotton will also appear on Téléfoot, presented by Christian Jeanpierre.
 
François Pellissier, the TF1 group’s head of sport, says: “At the start of this year, TF1 reaffirmed its ambition to show the biggest sporting events free-to-air by signing a historic agreement with FIFA. We are delighted to pursue this ambition by welcoming on board Grégoire Margotton, one of the greatest voices in sport. He will team up with Bixente Lizarazu to talk us through the great tournaments coming up on our channels, starting with UEFA Euro 2016.”
 
Grégoire Margotton is a sports journalist who has been with the Canal Plus group since the start of his career. He has commentated on three World Cups, several Copa America tournaments, all the European championships, the French Ligue 1 and the Champions League, as well as three Olympic Games.
In 2013, Grégoire Margotton received the Lucarne d’Or, awarded to France’s best football commentator.
