ERIC MONIER APPOINTED LCI EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

 

The TF1 group announces the arrival of Eric Monier as LCI editor-in-chief with effect from Monday October 3, 2016

Thierry Thuillier, Chief Executive Officer of LCI, says: “We are delighted to welcome Eric Monier as editor-in-chief of LCI. With Catherine Nayl, we are convinced that his background and experience, both as a journalist in the field and in a range of editorial management roles, will be invaluable in helping LCI to move forward on freeview DTT and digital media.”

Born in 1964, Eric Monier is a graduate of the Strasbourg Journalism School. He began his career in 1991 as a business journalist at France 2, and subsequently became a senior reporter. In 1999, he set up the France 2 Africa bureau, before being promoted to deputy head of the channel’s Reportage unit. In 2007, he moved to the production company Eléphant et CIE as deputy editor-in-chief of the Sept à Huit current affairs magazine. In 2010, he was appointed editor-in-chief at France 2, a position he held until 2015.
