In an effort to forge even closer links with our audiences, TF1 is expanding its presence on Facebook and Twitter.

There are many reasons for this interest in social networks. We want to establish a new kind of dialogue and relationship with the public while raising our profile and enhancing our image and e-reputation. In addition, we want to discuss our programmes, promote our content, generate traffic on our websites and keep a close eye on new media trends.

The TF1 Facebook fan page was launched in 2008 and has garnered more than 400,000 members. We have since set up fan pages for some of our programmes, including Secret Story, Les Frères Scott, and Pascal Le Grand Frère, which have attracted a total of more than

4 500 000 fans.

On Twitter, we set up our TF1 & Vous account in early 2009. We have 79,000 followers to date, and the numbers are rising steadily. We have also created accounts for other TF1 brands, such as Wat.tv (more than 70,000 followers) and TF1 News ( more than 20 000 followers).

 

And we’ve just opened a new account for Danse avec les Stars, complete with a unique system of incentives for promoting the show. These range from invitations, live tweets of rehearsals , special prizes and exclusive news to keep audiences up to speed.
