Unique conference on 6 January at TF1 "2015, solutions for climate!"

11 months from the Paris COP 21 that will take place from 30 Novemeber to 11 Decemeber 2015, TF1 organises an event on 6 January 2015, hosted by Christine Obredorff, the Ushuaä TV presenter. 
The emblematic channel, owned by TF1, is known for its sustainable development and environmental protection orientation. Nicolat Hulot, Brice Lalonde, Jean-Pascal van Ypersele de Strihou and Jean-Marc Jancovici establish a picture to enable solutions to spring up...

Catherine Puiseux-Kakpo, CSR (Corporate Social Responsability) coordinator, who has been directing, since 1 December 2014, the Company's Diversity Committy, reminds us of the stakes of this unique event.

5 years ago, we were still talking about a "climate catastrophe" without suggesting any technical and economical answers. A lot of stakeholders, including companies, now have solutions to suggest, but those solutions have to be heard and asked for by consumers!

We fully fulfill our role by regularly informing and raising awareness through the Ushuaïa TV channel, with weather forecasts and news broadcasts on LCI. Each year, almost 800 subjects are devoted to climate change awareness and rising solutions in all fields: home insulation, sharing economy, new kinds of mobility, fight against waste, organic products, local production...

Through advertisments broadcasting, we play a part in consumption in France. Our advertisers, suppliers and other media are often companies themselves involved in sustainable developement. By organising this conference, "B to B" with experts, we have the will to share with those partners, a unique moment focused on stakes and the emergency of acting. It's a springboard to imagine, maybe together, more coherent actions that will materialise our respective committments and participate to the change in scales. We don't pretend to create solutions ourselves, but we are in a legitimate position to promote them.

2015 is the year to rally against climate change. We strongly believe that those 21st century stakes won't be accessible without reaching for everyones' talent, equity and solidarity, fields in which the TF1 company can also play a decisive role.
